Module Description

This module explores how participants can improve their content backgrounds, pedagogy, resources, and professional responsibilities in their specific content areas. Participants will explore methods for sharing their content knowledge and professional development beyond the classroom to make a difference in the profession.

Learning Outcomes

In this module you will:

  • Explore resources for improving knowledge of your content area/discipline and connecting that knowledge to related concepts.
  • Investigate methods for improving and enhancing pedagogy in your content area.
  • Examine professional development opportunities beyond the classroom that make a difference in the field of teaching and learning in your content area.

Assessments

Each assessment includes its own customized rubric with specific criteria and the required passing score for that assessment. Completion of all assessments is required. With instructor approval, assessments that do not meet the required passing score can be resubmitted for credit.
