Here is a sample - East Penn SD Special Education Plan - specifically focus on pages 10-14. Now, find your district’s version. Consider how you may change your practice to enhance the skills of the paraprofessional either assigned with you or for one assigned within your building. |

Support and Supervision of Volunteers and Paraprofessionals Maximizing the success of paraprofessional assistance requires continuous monitoring. One method of support and supervision that is extremely effective is the use of “mentors” or “lead paraprofessionals” who maintain regular contact with paraprofessionals . The mentors must meet with the paraprofessional supervisor on a regularly scheduled basis to discuss the progress of the paraprofessional. As you work with or observe another classroom paraprofessional, use this observation form to collect evidence. |

Access the PBISWorld.com Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) site to review Why, When, And How to use a BIP. Then view samples of BIPs before trying one on your own. Using the BIP for students with ADD, ADHD, poor organization, inattentive, unfocused, off task, distracted, fidgety, hyperactive, and more, practice completing the form. For your review and assistance, this sample completed BIP has been provided. |
