Analyze types of assessment and purposes; data-based decision making; using data to inform instruction; develop assessments and align to standards
Module Four: Curriculum Framework
- General curriculum information; components of Curriculum Framework; connection to standards; using curriculum to guide instruction; utilize ELL techniques to benefit all learners
Module Five: Uniting Standards and Instruction
- Explore RtII, the core characteristics of RtII; Understanding by Design® theory; examine various instructional techniques, best practices, and instructional resources to enhance teaching; utilize instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners
Module Six: Aligning Instructional Materials and Resources
- Apply materials and resources in instruction; examine the various types of resources on SAS; alignment of materials and resources to standards; relevance and implementation of resources; practice aligning resources to standards
Module Seven: Timely and Appropriate Interventions
- Connection to RtII; accommodations; explore purposes of differentiating instruction; examine resources for specific populations; integrate these resources into daily instruction and SAS
Module Eight: Integrating Lifelong Learning
- Synthesize all pieces to develop unit and lessons integrating all components of SAS
