Safe & Supportive Schools

Adleman and Taylor (2002), note that an extensive and growing body of literature indicates the relationship between a comprehensive student support program, student mental and emotional health, improved student attendance, and the academic success of the student in school.  The Safe & Supportive Schools element of SAS supplies resources and exemplars to promote active student engagement in a safe and positive learning environment.  Areas within the element include the following:  Engagement, Safety, and Environment.
